"I first met Clare 12 years ago through my local gym to start personal training. I started training and found her inspirational, as not a strong gym ethic behind me! I became poorly which resulted in brain surgery soon after, losing my hearing, balance nerve and a lot of body weakness. After three months post surgery we began slowly rebuilding the neurological side and have continued to this day. Also, had some back disc surgery so required some rehab training.
Clare's knowledge kept me on the right path. I am really impressed how she knows the body and what I need to do to keep moving, regain and improve my strength.
I do not think I have had one tailored personal training session the same over the years, always different and challenging, using equipment to suit my ability.
Clare's training expertise is on so many different levels. I always feel motivated that I have moved, stretched and strengthened my body and tested areas that need attention.
Since the recent restrictions I have joined Clare's pilates groups on zoom. I have continued my training 1-1 online and the pilates has complimented keeping my body moving in the right direction.

"I began to attend Clare’s physical classes (pre March 2020) to help improve posture and core strength to help with lower back issues - and they were a great help.
Clare is very knowledgeable in pilates, general fitness and physiology. The classes are not just a series of exercises linked together - Each session is different and Clare will explain why we are doing certain exercises, and what parts of the body we are working on/benefitting.
Clare is also always on the quest for furthering her own knowledge / expertise and then sharing it.
During lockdown Clare has been great at adapting her offering to ensure that we have been able to continue with our sessions in a flexible way. Always keeping watch on us to ensure we are doing the exercises correctly, and is always considerate of individual's ability and underlying conditions.

"I can’t thank Clare Howard enough because I have certainly noticed an improvement in my personal health and fitness levels over the last 5 years since starting group Pilates mat classes with Clare both in person at the local Community Centre and online since March 2020,
Clare listens to any health issues you might have, temporary or on-going, and will adjust the exercise regime accordingly and always provides alternative exercise options for her clients as necessary.
Classes are also suitable for all levels and skills as beginner, intermediate and expert level Pilates exercises/moves are always demonstrated, with or without equipment, and assessed with feedback and encouraging guidance as appropriate.
Classes also vary in intensity and can be gentle or dynamic and I have seen a huge improvement in my muscle tone, posture, balance and flexibility as well as help and support in resolving issues I have had recently with low back pain and sciatica.

"I have been a client of Clare for 12 (glorious) years. She is an amazing personal trainer + Pilates teacher. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed virtually every moment we have trained together. On occasion one or two of my children have wanted to join in and she was able to adapt our class straight away to include them. When I have had the odd injury she has planned classes that will enable me to still train safely. Clare is 100% professional and it is obvious that she enjoys her work.
